Due to the nature of their business, EPC requires the use of a significant amount of printed materials and were consequently looking for ways to minimise their environmental impact. We were commissioned to modify their main production font in a way that would reduce toner use.
We created a 'green' modified version of their company font by making varying small holes in the letters. Undetectable at text sizes, this font allows EPC to print perfectly legible documents but using much less ink. As EPC works in many languages, their font used the extended Latin alphabet, so we also applied the modifications to a variety of multilingual characters.
